  How to find the Queen Elizabeth Hospital from Birmingham city centre

Leave the city centre via the A38 (Bristol Road) signposted Bromsgrove.

After leaving the city centre, continue along the dual carriageway. When the dual carriageway ends, turn right into Edgbaston Park Road, following the signs for the Queen Elizabeth Medical Centre.

Turn left into Pritchatts Road and continue across the mini-roundabout.  At the end of Pritchatts Road, turn left into Somerset Road.

Continue to a roundabout and turn left (the 1st exit) into Metchley Park Road.  As you enter the QE site, Main Drive is just on your left and the multi-storey car park is at the other end of Metchley Park Road.

How to find the Queen Elizabeth Hospital from the M5 motorway

Leave M5 at Junction 4 and follow A38 Birmingham for 6.75 miles, after which you will encounter a major set of traffic lights.

Turn left following A4040 Harborne/Queen Elizabeth Medical Centre passing the large Sainsbury's store on your right.

After 0.75 miles, bear right following B4129 Edgbaston/Queen Elizabeth Medical Centre.

You will see a public house on your left and should turn first into Metchley Lane, then right into Metchley Park Road, signposted Queen Elizabeth Medical Centre.

Bus services

The 21 & 44 buses directly serve the hospital - both routes travel through the city centre. The 11 bus route is a five minute walk from the hospital.

The University station is a few minutes walk from the hospital. The station is on the Cross City line, and there are trains approximately every 15 minutes from New Street station in Birmingham city centre (final destination: Longbridge or Redditch.

PARKING FACILITIES AT THE QUEEN ELIZABETH HOSPITAL.
 
      There are parking facilities available at the hospital, this is operated by QPark, PLEASE NOTE!! car parking has now been changed. It used to be the multi storey car parkthis is now reserved for Staff Only!  Parking facilities for patients and visitors is now situated in MAIN DRIVE  "CAR PARK D" see map below.There are machines at the entrance from which you take a ticket on entry, on returning back to the car park, your card is placed in one of the payment machines situated on the groung floor, the machine will tell you how much you have to pay, change is given, then remove card and return back to vehicle, at the exit, place the card back in the machine, it is advisable to carry the card with you as this makes it easier to pay at the machines and also more secure than leaving your card in your vehicle. At peak times the car park can become busy. 
DISABLED PARKING.
Disabled parking is available in MAIN DRIVE, spaces are limited and are on a first come first served basis.
Blue badge holders only, this entrance is barriered and operated by attendent, this can also be used for drop off and pickup of patients. 
 
The Queen Elizabeth Hospital site also has a free shuttle bus service, which runs from 07:00 to 19:00, Monday to Friday.
It carries patients, visitors and staff from the new multi storey car park to the Birmingham Women's Hospital, the main Queen Elizabeth Hospital building, Mental Health Trust and Selly oak Hospital.
